KUALA LANGAT (Selangor) : The battle of the Selangor State Election, which entered its fifth day today, is heating up, with the competing parties, especially the PH-BN coalition and Perikatan Nasional (PN), each confident of victory.
Although Selangor is now considered a stronghold of the PH-BN coalition, PN is determined to take over the reins of government in the state.
Many political pundits have opined that the Selangor election this time is very interesting and thrilling, as well as difficult to predict.
Selangor, dubbed the super state, is seen as the ‘economic engine’ of the country, contributing 25 percent to Malaysia’s economic growth.
No wonder Selangor has become a “battle field” for the PH-BN coalition and the PN.
The Selangor election’s war of flags, especially in the villages of Sijangkang state constituency, is also getting more lively.
Yesterday, the former Sabah Chief Minister, who is currently State UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, joined the campaign in support of Sijangkang candidate Mohd Al-Hafizi Bin Abu Bakar of BN.
