KOTA KINABALU: Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESSCOM) Commander Datuk Victor Sanjos is expected to take over as Sabah Police Commissioner, replacing Datuk Jauteh Dikun, who is due for mandatory retirement.
Victor, a local from Keningau, is understood to have been selected by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) senior management in recognition of his performance and seniority in the force.
The handover ceremony is expected to take place on November 10, one day before Jauteh officially ends his service.
Jauteh is due to retire on November 11 after more than 32 years with PDRM.
During his career, he held various key positions before being appointed to lead the Sabah contingent.
However, Victor’s appointment is still awaiting an official announcement from PDRM.
