She said that the Lamai Kaamatan community programme, organised in collaboration with the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), is set to be officiated by the Deputy Chief Minister III of Sabah and Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Transport, Datuk Ewon Benedick.
“We hope that residents from the surrounding villages in Penampang, especially those from the six participating villages, will come in large numbers to celebrate the Lamai Kaamatan,” she expressed in a recent social media post promoting the Kaamatan event.
Susanna added that this grassroots Unduk Ngadau competition aims to promote and preserve cultural heritage, particularly in the areas of beauty, grace, and the wisdom of women.
