KOTA KINABALU: Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC), in collaboration with the Sabah Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM), hosted the Shopping Raya event as part of the Iftar Tour 2025, with Sepanggar being the fourth location visited this morning.
Fifty children from the Sepanggar community were taken to Servay Hypermarket Likas to select their Raya outfits in anticipation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Each child was given RM200 to purchase festive clothing and shoes.
The initiative aims to alleviate the financial strain on underprivileged families and spread joy among children as the celebration approaches.
KTC’s Executive Director, Datuk Dexter Lau, mentioned that this program is a key aspect of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to support those in need.
Datuk Dexter also brought along his daughter, Elizabeth, to enjoy the experience together.
In attendance were the Director of UPPM Sabah, Datuk Awang Kadin, community leaders from Sepanggar, Datuk Mohd Razali Razi@Bob, Datuk Aziah Atoh, along with representatives from KTC and UPPM.
