KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah DAP is eager to seek collaboration with any party within the Unity Government framework for the Sabah state election, which is anticipated in 2025.
Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe stated that the party is committed to implementing the MADANI concept and spirit in Sabah after the elections to promote political stability and enhance economic growth.
“The needs of the people of Sabah should come first before any talks about political partnerships.
“Thus, Sabah DAP’s main focus right now is to continue serving and working diligently for the people of Sabah,” he said in a statement.
Phoong also expressed agreement with Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, Chairman of Parti Keadilan Sabah, who emphasised that Sabah PH should finalise its internal discussions and negotiations before pursuing cooperation with other parties or coalitions.
“We appreciate the Chief Minister of Sabah’s interest in fostering cooperation between PH and GRS for the sake of political stability in Sabah,” he added.
