BN and PH’s successful strategy in the Mahkota by-election should serve as a model for PRN in Sabah -Bung

KOTA KINABALU: The notable success of BN in the Mahkota State Assembly by-election underscores the necessity of sustaining the BN and PH alliance in Sabah.

In response to the victory, BN Sabah Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin highlighted the critical nature of this partnership as BN Sabah and PH Sabah gear up for the forthcoming state election (PRN).

He pointed out that there remains significant work to be done in Sabah, especially regarding development and the attraction of increased foreign investment to the region.

Nonetheless, Bung, who also leads UNNO Sabah, remarked that the ability to draw in investments is contingent upon the political stability that can be fostered collaboratively.

“Following this victory, BN and PH are dedicated to creating a brighter future for all Malaysians.

“The success in Mahkota serves as clear evidence that the populace is increasingly aware of the importance of political stability for the nation’s advancement, and the collaboration between BN and PH must persist to facilitate positive transformations in Sabah,” he said in a statement.

Bung commented on the victory of BN candidate Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah in the Mahkota state by-election, winning by over 20,000 votes.

He stated that this victory reflects the people’s confidence in BN and serves as a benchmark that the collaboration model between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) is increasingly accepted by the public.

Bung noted that the public is becoming more aware that political stability is crucial for speeding up the country’s economic recovery.

“The growing confidence of foreign investors in Malaysia shows that this cooperation model has created a more favourable environment for investment and economic growth.

“In the near future, we will see the Malaysian ringgit strengthen, which will positively impact the prices of goods, hopefully easing the burden on the people,” he said.
