It is imperative for all Malaysians to recognise and value such qualities in their leader, he said.

The Prime Minister conveyed the significant message while addressing the People’s Gathering organised by PKR here on Sunday.

Salleh, the former Minister of Communications and Multimedia, said that in addition to combating corruption, the Prime Minister is adopting a principled political approach that encourages both the public and leaders to reject narrow political games.

He said that this includes the exploitation of religion and ethnicity for political gain.

“Such manipulation and narrow political tactics are detrimental to the people and the nation,” he said in his latest Facebook post.

In this context, Salleh, who is also the assemblyman for Usukan, expressed that the people of Sabah should be thankful to the Prime Minister for allocating a substantial budget for the state.

“This effort reflects the honesty and sincerity of the Prime Minister.

“I am confident that the political philosophy practiced by Dato Seri Anwar differs significantly from that of previous leaders.

“He is capable of accurately identifying the primary issues facing our country today, namely corruption, racial politics, and the manipulation of religion,” he added.
