KINABATANGAN: Chairman of the Sabah Urban Development Board (LPPB) Datuk Masiung Banah, has called upon other major corporations to emulate the commendable actions taken by Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTCB) in their endeavors to support those in need through their CSR projects.
“The initiatives undertaken by corporate entities under the ownership of Datuk Dexter Lau can be viewed as a demonstration of their dedication to enhancing their rapport with the community.
“Take, for instance, the fact that we are surrounded by prominent companies here, particularly in the palm oil sector,” he remarked.
Masiung delivered these comments during the Breaking of Fast event jointly organized by KTCB and the Sabah State UPPM at the Kinabatangan District Mosque on Tuesday.
Also in attendance was UPPM Director Datuk Awang Kadin Tang.
The Ramadan Iftar Tour conducted by KTCB-UPPM Sabah State is currently on its 6th day after commencing its journey in the Kalabakan, Tawau, and Semporna Parliamentary constituencies.
Over the course of the six-day tour across the 5 Parliamentary constituencies, Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad also included the Raya Shopping Program for Orphans and Asnaf Groups at Servay Tawau, Kunak, and Lahad Datu, with each session catering to 50 orphans and Asnaf individuals.
The program is set to continue in Sandakan, Penampang, Putatan, and even Beaufort, in partnership with the women wing of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah under the leadership of Datuk Redonah Bahanda.
