SANDAKAN: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government has failed to address the issue of basic facilities, particularly roads, clean water supply, and electricity supply in Sabah.
According to Sabah Umno Information Chief, Datuk Suhaimi Haji Nasir, the poor condition of roads has become a major concern for the people in the state.
This issue has gained attention on social media, highlighting the government’s failure to address the people’s grievances.
“Complaints regarding basic facilities are widespread, with discussions taking place on social media, in coffee shops, and even in the mainstream media.
“Despite being raised in the State Legislative Assembly, the state government has been unable to effectively tackle these issues,” he said.
Suhaimi said this after visiting the new parking project at Bridge 5 in Kampung Tinusa through the People-Friendly Project (PMR), here today.
He said the people continue to face critical infrastructure problems, while the state government boasts about its development achievements under the leadership of Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.
Suhaimi stressed that the people are well aware of the government’s failure and do not need further explanations from the GRS government.
The poor condition of roads, intermittent water supply, and frequent power outages are clear indications of the government’s shortcomings, he added.
Suhaimi also mentioned the flood problem in Sandakan district, which remains unaddressed.
