In disclosing this, UPKO President Datuk Ewon Benedick said the meeting also agreed with the withdrawal of the Originating Summons by Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) following two of the matters brought to court in the OS having been decided by the Federal Government, while another matter has been given a period of time until July 2024 for finalisation.

He said the success of getting the two matters resolved added value to Sabah PH’s struggle, which raised this matter in court and at the same time raised these matters in the Cabinet and Cabinet committees.

In addition, Ewon said the meeting mandated the President to carry the voice of the party and represent the aspirations of the people on all government platforms.

This includes cabinet meeting, the Special Action Council for the Implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MKTPMA63), the Technical Committee of the MKTPMA63, and the National Economic Action Council, he said.

Ewon, who is also the Minister of Entrepreneurship Development and Cooperatives, said this at a press conference after chairing the UPKO Supreme Council Meeting here today.

He said that as of August 2023, UPKO now has 160,041 members in 3,560 branches in all 25 divisions, including four divisions in Perak.

i. Political Bureau (Chairman: Datuk Ewon Benedick)
