UTC Kota Kinabalu health clinic to begin operations on July 1

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Health Department (JKNS) today announced that the UTC Kota Kinabalu Health Clinic will begin operations to provide maternal and child health services from July 1.
The opening of the new clinic came following the temporary closure of the Pekan Maternal and Child Health Clinic (KKIA), Kota Kinabalu from Jan 1 until the end of this year, for repair works to be carried out.
“All services provided at Pekan KKIA will be transferred to the UTC Health Clinic and a few other services to a nearby clinic,” JKNS said in a statement today.
The services that will be available at the UTC Health Clinic include health care for pregnant women, postpartum care, women’s health and family planning, child health care, immunisation and jaundice screening.
“Those who have been seeking healthcare services at Pekan KKIA are urged to adhere to the appointments at the designated facilities to avoid congestion,” read the statement.
