A statement issued by the establishment stated that over 550 students will graduate from UCSF’s foundation, diploma, and degree programmes at the ceremony.
In conjunction with the convocation ceremony, Dr. Rafiq Idris, Vice Chancellor of University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF), stated that it is important to support the state’s development goal by having a population with tertiary education attainment and the right mix of knowledge and skills that are diverse based on sectoral demands.
Dr. Rafiq emphasises that UCSF is working to support the state’s development agenda in this area by providing human resources that will benefit Sabah.
” Despite being projects as a green model boutique institution, UCSF offers a wide range of diploma and degree programmes,” he said.
The university consists of four faculties: management and entrepreneurship, natural science and sustainability, arts and creative media, and development and multicultural studies.
The Institute of Borneo Studies and the Centre of Languages and Generic Development are also housed at the institution.
Under its teaching and learning factory, the university runs the Programme Khas Anak Negeri and the Nature Inspiration Art Gallery (NIAG).
The VC also stated that regardless of the degree they are pursuing, the institution strives to produce students who are financially, digitally, and environmentally educated.
The university aspires to support the growth of Sabah’s creative industry as well as the state’s development agenda,” Rafiq said.
