SANDAKAN: The people of Libaran are advised not to be easily influenced by the opponent’s slander dissemenating through social media or during campaigning session.
The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Libaran Parliament, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir said, the opposition seemed lack of ideas to the extent that they were willing to spread slander and gossip in order to gain the support of the people.
“We went to the ground to give information to people about what the government has done and what our intentions are after this if we are given the mandate to rule the government.
“It is different from the campaign of the opposition candidates who are only good at criticizing and vilifying BN,” he said when speaking at a meeting with youth in Kampung Nelayan Batu Putih, yesterday.
According to Suhaimi, the people in Libaran can listen, but never believe the negative words and slanders uttered by opponents.
“The opponents are just appealing for sympathy so that the voters support them. Not only that, they play current issues, even worse they talk on personal matters.
“The people of Libaran cannot choose such candidate. I know the voters in this area are wise and not easily influenced,” he explained.
