KOTA KINABALU: The Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) youth wing has urged youngsters residing in Kota Kinabalu and its vicinity to take part in its inaugural “FCAS Youth Dragon Boat Sunset Run”.
Urging this was FCAS youth chief Chang Jeng Yung while speaking at a special introduction cum briefing session on the “FCAS Youth Dragon Boat Sunset Run”, at the Kampung Nelayan Seafood Restaurant at Bukit Padang here, over the weekend, which was attended by close to 100 youth representatives of FCAS member associations. Also in attendance were organising chairman for the sunset run, Yee Tung Hau and his deputy Ben Goh.
The sunset run which is being organised for the first time in conjunction with the 7th FCAS International Dragon Boat Race will be held on 2 July, 2022 with registration of participants starting at 3.30pm; the participants will be flagged off at 4.50pm and the run is scheduled to end at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, in his briefing, Chang was delighted to note that since it was opened for registration, the Sunset Run has received encouraging response with more than 200 participants having signed up.
