MAJAPS Charity Run 2026 receives strong support from Sabah’s Governor

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Council of Justices of the Peace (MAJAPS) Charity Run Organising Committee, led by Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence B. Malakun, recently paid a courtesy call on the Patron of MAJAPS, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman JP, to brief him on the upcoming MAJAPS Charity Run, one of the organisation’s key initiatives for 2026.

Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman JP expressed his strong support for the initiative and graciously accepted MAJAPS’ invitation to officiate the flag-off ceremony of the Charity Run, scheduled for 6 December 2026.

The 7-kilometre Charity Run aims to raise funds for charitable causes, particularly to support the welfare of selected orphanages and homes for the elderly.

The initiative reflects MAJAPS’ commitment to community service, compassion and solidarity, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

The event is expected to attract approximately 2,000 participants, including students from schools and colleges, as well as members of the public.

Beyond promoting fitness, healthy living and community participation, the Charity Run seeks to foster a spirit of generosity and encourage greater public involvement in charitable activities.

To add excitement to the event, the organising committee has lined up 50 attractive lucky draw prizes, with a motorcycle as the grand prize.

MAJAPS hopes that the Charity Run will be a successful community event that brings people together for a worthy cause, raises meaningful funds for charitable beneficiaries, and strengthens the spirit of caring and giving back to society.
