KOTA KINABALU: The Wiramuda wing of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) is seeing a decline in strength, following the resignation of Muhammad Raiyan Fung Abdullah, Deputy Chief of the Wiramuda STAR Sabah Exco.
In a statement here today, Raiyan confirmed he is also stepping down from his role as Secretary of the STAR N.69 Sri Tanjong division, with his departure from the party taking effect on July 26.
He explained that the decision came after thoughtful reflection on several factors, particularly personal considerations and his long-term plans.
“This choice was made after careful thought, keeping personal matters and my future direction in mind,” he said.
Raiyan expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunities, trust, and experiences gained during his time with STAR.
He also thanked STAR President Datuk Seri Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, party leaders at every level, and fellow members for their collaboration and support throughout his service in both roles.
“I deeply value the trust and experiences I’ve received during my journey with the party,” he added.
He concluded by expressing hope that STAR will continue to grow and succeed in representing public aspirations and meeting its established objectives.
