AGMJ 2026 aims to acknowledge the achievements of exceptional individuals

KOTA KINABALU: The Anugerah Gemilang Maju Jaya 2026 (AGMJ) was launched to honor those who have shown unwavering commitment and made meaningful contributions to society and the nation.

Dato Paduka Rehan Hj Rahim, founder and Chairman of the Organising Committee, emphasised that the event reflects a shared effort among NGOs, government bodies, agencies, and the public in promoting a culture of recognition and excellence.

“This evening’s recognition goes beyond an award—it stands as a gesture of affection, unity, and harmony across different races, religions, and social backgrounds,” she said.

She said this in her welcome address to Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Hjh Juliah Salag, wife of the Sabah Chief Minister, along with honored guests and awardees last night.

The ceremony, which was held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), was officially launched by Juliah, who also serves as President of the Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat Sabah (MUTIARA GRS).

“Still, I am certain there are many more individuals deserving of acknowledgment,” she noted.

“Those celebrated tonight not only represent their own accomplishments but also stand in for countless others contributing quietly in various fields,,” she added.

Rehan said such efforts should be seen as acts of goodwill that bring lasting benefit to society.

She expressed hope that AGMJ will continue to highlight outstanding individuals, inspire future generations, and create a lasting legacy.

In her view, the event demonstrates that meaningful contributions are never forgotten, dedicated service is always valued, and excellence will always be celebrated.
