KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah chapter of the People’s Justice Party (PKR) is prepared to support party efforts in the upcoming state elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan, according to Farid Sainuri, PKR Sabah’s Information Chief.
He stated that in a show of unity and collective determination, Sabah will dispatch a team of volunteers to assist with campaign operations and electoral coordination in both states.
Farid emphasized that PKR Sabah sees unity, organizational discipline, and members’ readiness to contribute across regions as vital to the party’s strength.
At the same time, he noted that PKR Sabah is actively enhancing its internal structure at the state level to improve operational readiness and boost the effectiveness of its political and organizational initiatives ahead of future challenges.
He added that the PKR Sabah State Leadership Council (MPN) has approved several changes to strengthen leadership arrangements
Among these is the appointment of three new members to the MPN Sabah Political Bureau (Biropol): Datuk Jamawi Jaafar, Datuk Ruji Ubi, and Datuk Yamani Hafez Musa.
These appointments are intended to sharpen strategic planning and help guide the party’s direction in the state.
To ensure strong leadership continuity and organizational growth, Patrick Sulaiman has been named the new Tuaran branch chief, while Arastam Pandorog will lead the Semporna branch.
Additionally, Fung Thien Yin, current head of the Tawau branch, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of MPN III, representing the Tawau Zone.
This move, Farid explained, is designed to improve zonal representation and ensure grassroots concerns, particularly from East Coast areas, are adequately addressed.
