SIPITANG: Member of Parliament for Sipitang, Datuk Matbali Musah, visited several villages affected by the flood, and temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in Sindumin area, which is part of the Sipitang parliamentary constituency.
This visit by the MP for Sipitang shows his concern for the plight and complaints of the residents of the 14 villages impacted by this disaster.
Among the temporary evacuation centres he visited were the PPS at Dewan SK Padang Berampah and Dewan SMK Padang Berampah.
As of 9 AM today, the total number of flood victims at both PPS is 198 people.
In this regard, Matbali advised the public living in low-lying areas or near rivers to remain vigilant due to the unpredictable weather conditions that pose a risk of flooding.
