KOTA KINABALU – Sabah Electricity has confirmed that the body of a worker swept away by strong currents while performing maintenance work in Kampung Tuntunan, Apin-Apin, has been located.
The victim was discovered at 6:18 PM in the Liau River, Kampung Laut, by the Gelen Star Team, and the body of Masedeh bin Rosmin, 35 years old, has been handed over to the police for further action.
Sabah Electricity expresses deep sorrow over this loss and extends condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family.
Appreciation is also given to all authorities and rescue teams involved in the search and rescue mission, particularly the Gelen Star Team, the Royal Malaysia Police, the Fire and Rescue Department, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and the Sabah Electricity workers who assisted in the search efforts.
