Sabahans See Things Differently, Prioritising Harmony and Mutual Respect – Salleh

KOTA KINABALU: Malaysia is at its best when every individual feels a sense of belonging, and every voice is valued — not solely the most prominent ones, stated the former Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

He referenced the rally on May 24 as an illustration, noting that it has sparked contemplation throughout the nation.

“While every citizen has the right to speak, we in Sabah often view such matters through a different lens.

“Here, we don’t speak in terms of dominance or supremacy. Our focus is on harmony, shared progress, and mutual respect.

“We believe that real solutions come from unity — not fear or division,” he said in his latest Facebook post.

Salleh, the assemblyman from Usukan, stated that the populace also thinks that numerous individuals in Peninsular Malaysia discreetly hold this viewpoint, even if it is not frequently expressed.

“Let’s remember: Malaysia is strongest when everyone feels they belong, and every voice matters — not just the loudest ones,” he added.
