Sabah’s new Covid-19 cases — We’re back to three digit

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 112 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative cases in the state to 55,234 cases.

Three deaths were also recorded today with one each occurring in Tawau, Tenom and Putatan.

Local Government and Housing Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun said in his daily Covid-19 statement that 60 more people recovered from the illness today, bringing the number of people who have recovered to 54,244.

One more cluster was discovered today ‘Belacon cluster’ in Lahad Datu which so far produced 17 cases.

“The index case is a 22 years old man whose screening test on March 31 returned positive with Covid-19. Further screening on 195 individuals have discovered 16 positive cases while 137 individuals have been tested negative,” he said.

The remaining 42 individuals who underwent testing are still waiting for their Covid-19 result, he said.
