KOTA KINABALU: Malaysians must be concerned that the Home Minister has decided to close police station gates nationwide after 10 p.m., citing fears of terrorist attacks.
This decision by the Home Minister will leave police officers confined to their stations and barracks, putting citizens at risk from criminals such as robbers, murderers, and rapists. It raises doubts about our law enforcement officers ability to protect the public during late hours.
Aren’t our police officers in Malaysia trained to handle dangerous elements in our society?
The decision by the Home Minister is unwarranted, irresponsible, and bordering on stupidity.
