TAWAU: Parti Warisan Sabah (WARISAN) consistently upholds unity and respects the diverse races present in this state.
Kalabakan WARISAN chief, Shaharizan Jikirun, emphasized the importance of accepting and acknowledging the existence of all races and ethnicities within the community.
He said this diversity is a distinctive characteristic that should be preserved by all individuals, ensuring a peaceful and harmonious life for everyone.
Despite Sabah’s relatively slower development compared to the peninsula, its residents, who come from various races and religions, are able to coexist harmoniously, he said.
“Furthermore, it is fascinating that some residents here possess the ability to understand and speak languages of other races,” he said.
Shaharizan expressed these sentiments while extending greetings to the Chinese branch leaders of WARISAN at Jalan Air Panas yesterday.
According to him, WARISAN is a local party that provides recognition and opportunities to all races without any exceptions.
The president of WARISAN, Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal, consistently advises all members to prioritize racial unity in the state.
At the division level in Kalabakan, Shaharizan mentioned that they have successfully fostered an atmosphere of harmony among members from different races and have celebrated festivals together.
The courtesy program for the Chinese branch chief before the Chinese New Year celebration is a routine initiative where they come together to celebrate the festival and exchange souvenirs as a gesture from the party.
