The meeting took place at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Sabah, where UPKO President Datuk Ewon Benedick and the Bureau of Entrepreneurship and Economics discussed their recommendations with Dr. Ramzah.

The congress, scheduled to be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) from February 29 to March 2, will have separate discussions on the economic issues of Sabah Bumiputera and Non-Malay Bumiputera.

UPKO, as a party committed to the socio-economic development and empowerment of Sabah Bumiputera, submitted their input and recommendations to Dr. Ramzah for inclusion in the congress resolution.

The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development will play a strategic role in implementing the Congress resolutions.

Ewon, who is also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, plans to invite the Sabah and Sarawak Bumiputera Cluster Chairmen to present a resolution to his ministry after the congress.

He believes that the government should focus more on Sabah and Sarawak in terms of economic development and entrepreneurship by introducing a policy of looking east in the country.
