KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, is committed to implementing all initiatives outlined in the Sabah Electricity Supply Regulatory Authority.
These initiatives align with the targets set in the Sabah Energy Roadmap and Master Plan 2040.
Chief Minister Hajiji emphasized that the State Government will work closely with the Federal Government to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.
The aim is to enhance the performance of electricity supply in Sabah.
Furthermore, the State Government will collaborate with Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. (SESB) to facilitate and provide support for the implementation of the SESB Transformation Plan.
This plan is crucial for the long-term sustainability of the utility company.
To ensure effective and sustainable solutions, the Sabah Energy Commission (ECoS) will involve all stakeholders in the state.
This inclusive approach will address current issues more efficiently.
The Symbolic Handing Over of the Sabah Electricity Supply Regulatory Authority from the Federal Government to the State Government took place at the Main Meeting Room, Menara Kinabalu
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Public Utility, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, represented the Federal Government during this event.
Chief Minister Hajiji expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government for approving the State Government’s acquisition of Electricity Supply and Renewable Energy Regulatory Powers.
