SANDAKAN: The presence of Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) President Priscella Peter and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR Sabah) Deputy President Datuk Lawrence Gimbang at the Warisan Party’s Annual General Meeting here today has drawn significant attention, viewed as an early indication of potential cooperation among the three parties in the upcoming General Election (GE).
The presence of these two local party leaders opens possibilities for shifts in Sabah’s political landscape.
The assembly, held at the Hakka Hall near here, brought together leadership, representatives, and members of Warisan from across Sabah and Labuan.
Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal officiated the assembly’s opening ceremony.
The assembly also served as an important platform for the party to elect its Supreme Council for the 2026–2029 term, coinciding with its 10th anniversary.
The presence of KDM and STAR representatives at the Warisan party gathering is pretty exciting news, as it shows the three local parties are moving forward nicely toward finalising a political alliance deal.
