KOTA KINABALU – The political landscape of Sabah has lost a distinguished figure with the passing of Datuk Karim Bujang, the former state assemblyman for Bongawan, who tragically departed this life on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Karim breathed his last at the age of 73 years, peacefully at his residence in Kampung Sipanggil, Putatan.
Karim stands as one of Sabah’s most influential and seasoned political veterans, having served with distinction as the representative for the Bongawan constituency across an impressive five consecutive terms, spanning from 1990 through 2013.
Throughout his extensive tenure in state administration, he earned further recognition through his appointment as Assistant Minister, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to public service and governance.
