KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Media TikToker Association has expressed strong approval of the decision permitting former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to serve the remainder of his sentence through conditional house arrest.
The association’s president, Tuan Aziz Hj. Bilin, is optimistic that this decision will inspire netizens, particularly online community members across Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia who have long awaited this positive development.
Earlier today, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, graciously granted conditional pardon to Najib, allowing him to complete his remaining sentence via home detention until August 23, 2028.
However, this conditional pardon is contingent upon payment of a RM50 million fine.
“The Sabah Media TikToker Association and its members express their deepest gratitude for the royal benevolence and welcome with profound appreciation the decision enabling Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to serve his remaining sentence through home confinement,” he stated in a press release today.
Aziz, who is also a composer of the song titled “#apaJadijadilah” shared on YouTube, stated that this decision from the nation’s highest institution is expected to gain acceptance from all citizens while maintaining legal harmony.
He noted that the song was specifically composed to provide support and encouragement for Najib’s liberation efforts and will be launched in Kota Belud tomorrow in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations.
According to Aziz, this latest development holds significant meaning for Najib’s family and members of the Sabah Media TikToker Association, who have consistently maintained hope and offered prayers for Datuk Seri Najib’s release.
