KOTA KINABALU: After experiencing diarrhoea for three days, former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak fainted while praying, resulting in a head injury that required stitches.
Salleh, who is also the State Inspector General of Projects, stated that the incident occurred yesterday after he had been suffering from diarrhoea.
He reported feeling dizzy suddenly during his prayer, which led to him fainting and falling, causing his head to hit the table in front of him.
“I had been suffering from diarrhoea for three days. While praying yesterday, I suddenly felt dizzy, fainted, and fell. My head hit the table in front of me, resulting in a wound that required stitches,” he said in a statement today.
Salleh said that treatment for his injury has been completed and his condition is now stable.
However, doctors have advised him to rest adequately and remain under observation for a few days.
“Thank God, the treatment is complete, and my condition is stable now. Following the doctor’s advice, I need to rest and be monitored for a few days.
“For the time being, visits are also discouraged so that I can rest fully,” he added.
In light of this, Salleh apologised for any appointments or meetings that may need to be postponed temporarily due to his health condition.
He also expressed gratitude to everyone for their prayers and concern.
“Thank you for your prayers, concern, and understanding. God willing, may I be granted ease and health to return to normal,” he added
