PENAMPANG: The Mobile Program Jualan Rahmah MADANI (PJRM), held in Kampung Pogunon on Friday, successfully brought significant benefits to local residents.
Organised by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), the programme attracted a large turnout of residents who took the opportunity to purchase various daily essentials at lower prices.
In light of this, Kampung Pogunon JKKK Chairman Stanislaus Dumalin stated that the committee plans to organise the programme on a monthly basis.
“With the cost of living remaining a concern for the public, I believe the Mobile Program Jualan Rahmah MADANI in Kampung Pogunon needs to be held frequently.
“I will submit this proposal to the agency of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN); if approved, we will organise the programme once a month,” he added.
Stanislaus noted that the programme held in the village for the first time received an encouraging response, despite taking place on a weekday.
“Ideally, this programme would be held on a Saturday or Sunday, but we held it today, Friday, due to the programme’s tight schedule,” he said.
The Kampung Pogunon JKKK’s initiative drew praise from local residents, who expressed hope that other villages would emulate this effort to ensure the benefits of the PJRM reach a wider rural population.
