SEMPORNA: Four individuals sustained injuries when the Proton Saga they were traveling in skidded off the road shoulder during an incident in Kampung Selamat early this morning.
Norhaini Jumdeani, the Acting Chief of the Semporna Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), stated that they received an emergency call at 1:55 AM, prompting the deployment of seven personnel along with a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle to the scene.
According to her, the team arrived at the location three minutes later and found a Proton Saga that had skidded off the road.
“The four injured victims were transported to Semporna Hospital using a public vehicle before the arrival of the fire brigade.
“They included three men and one woman, all estimated to be in their twenties,” she mentioned in a statement today.
She added that the fire brigade conducted an inspection at the site to ensure there were no other hazards that could threaten the safety of road users before the operation was fully concluded at 2:23 AM.
