KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, has welcomed the announcement of the interim payment of RM1.5 billion to Sabah and expressed his hope that the funds will be disbursed promptly.

He stated that this move demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to continue honoring and implementing the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

“This proves that the Federal Government, under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is a responsible government that fulfills its promises,” he said.

He added that the state government will continue to work closely with the Federal Government to ensure that all allocations related to MA63, including the special grant of 40 percent, are realised.
