KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Government Teachers’ Union (KGKS), led by Murkam Hj Hussien, is taking steps to operate from a more strategic location at their new office in Alamesra, Likas, near here.
The inauguration of the new KGKS office was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Haji Raisin bin Saidin, the Director of Education for Sabah, recently.
Also present at the event was KGKS president Murkam Hj Hussien.
Earlier, in his speech, Haji Raisin welcomed KGKS’s initiative to establish a new office in Alamesra.
He stated that the establishment of the new KGKS office in Alamesra signifies a new chapter in strengthening the welfare and rights of educators in Sabah.
“Congratulations to all the leadership and members of KGKS for this achievement. May KGKS continue to thrive, be strong, and earn respect,” he said.
Haji Raisin also expressed his happiness with the role played by KGKS, which he noted has greatly assisted teachers, especially in terms of welfare.
“I also appreciate KGKS’s initiative to introduce insurance protection products for its members, which helps in terms of medical facilities,” he said.
