TAMBUNAN: The candidate for the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) for the Tambunan State Constituency (DUN), Dato’ Victor P. Paut, is committed to transforming Tambunan into a sustainable, advanced, and thriving area through balanced development that integrates economic, social, and cultural aspects based on community values, heritage, and innovation.
“This is part of my vision if I am given the mandate to represent the N.39 Tambunan constituency after the 17th State Election (PRN17) on November 29,” he stated when met after the candidate nomination for the N.39 DUN Tambunan seat here on Saturday.
Regarding his mission, Victor mentioned that he will strengthen the community’s economy through modern agricultural enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and community tourism.
He will also empower the community through education, job opportunities, and the development of youth and women.
Victor aims to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Dusun Tambunan as a source of pride for the state of Sabah.
In addition, he plans to develop and upgrade inclusive infrastructure and technology to enhance the quality of life for the people.
Victor said that he will focus on the welfare and well-being of the citizens, including providing free outpatient registration fees at the Tambunan hospital.
“I will also provide contributions of canopies to every village for welfare purposes, install solar lights in every village, especially in dark areas.
“Establishing a digital complaint system to ensure that every resident’s complaint is recorded and resolved promptly, providing chairs to all villages, places of worship, and schools in need, financing free pre-marriage course fees for all Tambunan residents, regardless of whether they are Christian or Muslim, and establishing the Tambunan Care program (a center for immediate welfare assistance),” he said.
He expressed his gratitude to the party supporters who came to offer him moral support.
“This is my first time contesting in the elections, and I hope to receive strong support from all GRS supporters,” he said.
Victor urged voters to come out in large numbers to fulfill their voting responsibilities on November 29, to collectively bring about change in the Tambunan district.
