BN and PH’s collaboration is not exclusive; BN is willing to work with local parties – Salleh

KOTA KINABALU: The collaboration between BN and PH is not exclusive, as BN is open to partnering with local parties, stated Sabah UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.

He emphasised that BN welcomes cooperation with local parties that share similar aspirations.

“The most crucial factors are sincerity and a willingness to collaborate.

“BN and PH must agree on the best coalition partners for Sabah,” he said in his latest Facebook post.

However, the former Chief Minister of Sabah noted that BN and PH need to unite to face the upcoming state elections.

Salleh pointed out that both BN and PH are the main pillars of the Unity Government at the federal level.

“In Sabah, we must remain united. Our strength lies in our commitment to unity, stability, and development.

“Our focus should be on the state and its people, rather than engaging in endless political maneuvering. We reject divisive politics that tear our community apart,” he stated.

Salleh, who is also the assemblyman for Usukan, emphasised that any coalition must consider various factors.

He pointed out that this includes fair and equitable seat distribution and shared policies.

Salleh added that any partnership must respect Sabah’s autonomy and foster a political environment based on mutual respect, rather than dominance or a “big brother” mentality.

“Once these principles are agreed upon, all parties must move forward as one team.

“This is not a personal struggle; it is a collective commitment to the future of Sabah,” he concluded.
