SANDAKAN: A new traffic light has been installed in front of Lorong G, Rancangan Rumah Murah Sim Sim, marking a significant advancement in pedestrian safety.
This installation aims to enhance safety for both pedestrians and commuters using the parking facilities located across the street.
In response to Datuk Frankie Poon’s appeal, the Sabah Public Works Department (JKR) acted promptly, acknowledging the necessity for safer crossing points in this busy area.
The newly erected traffic light offers a secure and convenient crossing for residents and visitors, reflecting a commitment to improving pedestrian infrastructure in Sandakan.
The Tanjung Papat assemblyman expressed gratitude for JKR’s swift action, noting, “This traffic light represents more than just infrastructure; it signifies our dedication to the safety and convenience of our community.”
‘I appreciate JKR for prioritizing the needs of our residents,” he added.
