KOTA KINABALU: Sabah UMNO needs a new strategy to secure victory in the upcoming state election (PRN).

Sabah UMNO treasurer Datuk Seri Salleh said Keruak said this was necessary as the national party faces challenges ahead of the crucial state election.

“That’s why together we have discussed key strategies that will not only strengthen our presence in the local community but also ensure that we are fully prepared to secure victory.

“Our focus is on engaging white voters, identifying fence-sitters, and mobilising the youth, which will be critical in achieving our goals,” he said when delivering talk to Kota Belud UMNO Party Machinery here today.

The briefing was also attended by Kota Belud Umno chief Azuwan Marjan Norjan and its committee members.

“Moving forward, let us continue to work as a cohesive team, putting the interests of our community first and championing the values that UMNO stands for—autonomy, development, and harmony among all races and religions. InsyaAllah, with determination and perseverance,” he said.

Salleh, the Usukan assemblyman, expressed optimism that Kota Belud will be a stronghold for UMNO, saying that “UMNO will deliver a resounding victory in the next election.”.

“I have full confidence in our collective ability to rise to the occasion.

“Let us keep up the momentum and ensure that our efforts translate into success at the ballot box,” he said.

The former Sabah chief minister also thanked the people’s unwavering dedication to achieve the desired result.

“Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for Kota Belud and our beloved country,” he added.
