KOTA BELUD: Sabah UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak today delivered an impactful address, emphasising the pivotal roles of grassroots leadership, youth, and women in UMNO and reiterating the party’s steadfast dedication to advocating for Sabah’s autonomy.
Salleh also stressed the significance of maintaining strong connections and popularity at the grassroots level.
“Our strength lies in our grassroots leaders who possess an intimate understanding of local issues and are essential in formulating effective solutions,” he stated during his speech at the commencement of the UMNO Kota Belud division meeting at the Botung Kota Belud Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall.
The former Sabah chief minister shared success stories of UMNO-led grassroots initiatives in Sabah, including community development projects and local infrastructure enhancements, which have significantly improved the quality of life for Sabahans.
Recognising the vital roles of youth and women in UMNO, Salleh urged for increased participation and leadership opportunities for these groups within the party structures.
“Empowering our youth and women is crucial to our resilience and dynamism. They bring fresh solutions and foster stronger community bonds,” he emphasised.
