SANDAKAN: Sung Siew Secondary School is celebrating its 117th anniversary this year.
The School Board has decided to hold a two-day school open day and charity bazaar on Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, 2024.
The funds raised from this charity bazaar will be used for the relocation and construction of new school buildings, as well as for improving other basic facilities within the school.
Sandakan MP Vivian Wong Shir Yee has been invited to officiate the opening ceremony and join in the celebration.
Recently, the School Board Chairman of Sung Siew Secondary School, Mr. Vun Soon Chong, and committee members, along with the school’s principal, Mr. Kwok Chee Yen, and Bazaar Coordinator, Ms. Teoh Ah Nai, visited the Member of Parliament for Sandakan.
They presented her with an invitation to officiate the opening of the charity bazaar.
Vivian Wong graciously accepted the invitation, generously donating funds and purchasing bazaar coupons.
As a former student of Sung Siew Secondary School, Vivian Wong’s support and contributions have greatly boosted the morale of the entire organising committee for the charity bazaar.
On the day of the bazaar, there will be a variety of booths selling different types of food and drinks, daily necessities, household items, games and entertainment, exhibitions, and more.
The public is welcome to purchase coupons and support this event.
