TUARAN: Henry Saimpon, the vice president of the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Malaysia (KDM), led Kiulu KDM to provide aid to the residents of Rangalau Lama, who were affected by a landslide that resulted in the village road being impassable.
The aid, consisting of rice and cooking oil, was distributed without any consideration of the recipients’ backgrounds or political affiliations.
Henry emphasised KDM’s deep concern for the challenges faced by the residents in the aftermath of the unexpected incident.
He expressed hope that the aid would alleviate the difficulties experienced by the residents of Rangalau Lama to some extent.
Henry also mentioned that KDM president Datuk Peter Anthony promptly responded to the situation and requested assistance be sent to the affected area.
The distribution of aid was carried out on Saturday.
Also present was KDM’s Secretary-General, Willie Jude.
