KUALA LUMPUR: Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick will be leading a delegation from his ministry to attend the Asia Pacific Cooperative Ministers’ Conference in Jordan.
This conference, which occurs every four years, is organised by the International Cooperative Alliance – Asia Pacific (ICA-AP) in collaboration with the Jordan Cooperative Corporation (JCC) and the Jordan Ministry of Agriculture.
During the conference, Ewon will deliver a ministerial statement and hold a meeting with Khaled Al-Huneifat, the Jordan Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of JCC.
Additionally, Ewon and Khaled will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Malaysian Cooperative Institute (IKMA) and JCC.
As part of his visit, Ewon will also conduct a working visit to the Beit Sweimeh Cooperative, which receives support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Furthermore, he will meet with the Malaysian diaspora in Jordan.
Accompanying Ewon are Rusli Jaafar, the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Cooperative Commission, Datuk Mohd Ali Mansor, the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Cooperative Institute, Dato Abdullah Jusoh, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Cooperative Movement of Malaysia (ANGKASA), and Azizul Alias, the Secretary of the Cooperative Division of KUSKOP.
