Sabah lost a remarkable leader, says Hajiji

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah mourns the loss of a remarkable and exceptional leader following the demise of Tan Sri Joseph Kurup, as stated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.

“I extend my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family of Tan Sri Joseph Kurup.

“Recalling the period when I had the privilege to collaborate with him as the Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Industrial Development Sabah in 1994, I am reminded of his exceptional leadership qualities and the invaluable contributions he made to the community, state, and nation.

“The legacy left behind by Tan Sri Joseph Kurup is one of dedication and selfless service, a profound loss for all of us,” he said.

Kurup, aged 80, breathed his last at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
