KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak extends a warm invitation to individuals from diverse races and religions in Sabah to come together and commemorate Aidilfitri in a spirit of harmony and inclusivity.
Salleh, who is the Usukan assemblyman, emphasised the importance of strengthening the Silatulrahim relationship not only among fellow Muslims but also between Muslims and non-Muslims.
“We in Sabah, we celebrate all festivals, whether it’s Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, or Pesta Kaamatan.
“This is the uniqueness of Sabahans, we all must practice moderation to counter extreme attitudes that divide us in Sabah,” he said in his latest Facebook post.
In conjunction with this year’s Aidilfitri celebration, Salleh, his wife Datuk Raya Erom, and family wish everyone a happy Aidilfitri – seeking forgiveness from all Muslims, especially those in the Usukan constituency.
