According to Sabah UMNO Information Chief, Datuk Suhaimi Haji Nasir, there are concerns among the people about the success of the state government in implementing this plan.

He highlighted problems with basic facilities, such as poorly maintained roads, inadequate clean water supply despite the presence of pipes, and unreliable electricity supply.

In addition, Suhaimi said the poverty issues in eight districts were announced by the Minister of Economy, Rafizi Ramli.

Despite the state government’s claims of success, Suhaimi argued that the Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan has not brought any tangible benefits to the people of Sabah.

He said that Sabah Maju Jaya is not just a slogan but a comprehensive development plan for the years 2021–2025.

In the first year alone, RM3.4 billion was allocated to drive three main sectors, including public infrastructure.

Various initiatives have been planned to be implemented by multiple ministries and government departments under the Chief Minister’s Department.

Suhaimi questioned the state government about the measurement of success or progress in implementing the Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan.

He called on the Chief Minister or the responsible Minister to provide evidence of the plan’s success.

As the Member of Parliament for Libaran, Suhaimi stressed the importance of the state government focusing all efforts on improving facilities for the benefit of the people.
