Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung, who is currently the Tanjung Papat assemblyman, believes that further discussions between the two places can lead to a win-win situation.

Poon expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Suzhou business group to Sandakan and highlighted the exchange of ideas and characteristics between the two locations.

During dinner, they had friendly discussions about the needs of the Suzhou participants and the opportunities that Sandakan and Sabah have to offer.

Poon mentioned that investors are particularly interested in studying and exploring the Sabah MM2H programmes.

He also noted that they appreciate the warm and friendly culture of Sabahan, and some are even interested in investing in Sabah.

Additionally, they expressed their desire to bring their contacts and friends to visit Sabah, especially to enjoy the seafood dishes.

Poon acknowledged that they raised valid issues and assured them that answers to their questions would be found.

Given the geographical proximity between Sabah and Suzhou, Fung believes that they will want to come back again, especially during the winter season.

Therefore, he suggested that Air Asia seriously consider including Sandakan on their international routes to contribute to the local economy.
