He stressed that Sabahans need to assert their rights firmly, as outlined in the Malaysia Agreement of 1963, when dealing with the federal government.

Over the past six decades, Ligunjang noted that some Sabah politicians compromising on these rights have led to Sabah being among the least developed states in Malaysia.

In his latest social media post, he urged for a shift in approach to fully realise the potential of the Malaysia Agreement of 1963 in ensuring the well-being, prosperity, and harmony of the people of Sabah.

Ligunjang highlighted the necessity for Sabahans to protect their rights and resources guaranteed by the MA63 and the Federal Constitution to pave the way for a future where Sabah can thrive economically and socially in line with the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement of 1963.
