KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will not participate in any action to overthrow the current Federal Government, as it would result in chaos and have a significant impact on the stability of the nation, stated Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, the chairman of GRS.
According to a report by BERNAMA, the Sabah Chief Minister emphasized that the nation currently has a functioning MADANI Government that maintains good relations with the Sabah Government.
Therefore, there is no need to disrupt the current situation, he said in a statement on Wednesday night.
Hajiji highlighted that their focus is on working towards the prosperity of the nation and its people, and they do not support any move that would destabilize the country.
He further emphasized that in a democratic system like Malaysia, those aspiring to become the Prime Minister should wait for the General Elections to determine if the people accept them.
Hajiji also expressed full support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the Prime Minister and expressed confidence in his leadership.
He urged Anwar to lead the multiracial country towards prosperity.
In light of this, Hajiji questioned the motives of the individuals behind the “Langkah Dubai” (Dubai Move), speculating whether their actions were driven solely by their own political agenda without considering the well-being of the people.
The “Dubai Move” refers to an alleged meeting between opposition leaders and influential individuals from Malaysia in the United Arab Emirates, which was rumored to be a plot to overthrow Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s government, which is only a year old.
