KOTA KINABALU: Sabah UMNO Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin has urged party members to intensify their efforts in preparing for the upcoming state election (PRN).
In light of the new year, he emphasised the importance of rallying behind the slogan, mobilising resources, and countering any attempts to deceive the people with slander and falsehood.
Bung emphasised the need for action and hard work, rather than dwelling on nostalgia and emotions.
He stressed that Sabah UMNO should continue to listen to the concerns of the people and support their aspirations, particularly in addressing unresolved issues such as basic infrastructure facilities like roads, water, and electricity supply.
Highlighting UMNO’s strength and adaptability, Bung stated that the party has evolved over time to remain relevant in the ever-changing political landscape.
He called on UMNO and its fellow BN components to strive for a better future for Sabahans, ensuring that each day is an improvement from the previous one.
Bung also urged UMNO members in the state to make resolutions on the eve of the new year, aiming for excellence in the years 2024 and beyond.
Despite facing challenges and betrayals, he commended the principled and loyal leaders and members of UMNO in Sabah for their resilience and unwavering commitment to the party’s cause.
