KDM suspends Martin Tommy

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) vice president Martin Tommy has been suspended as a party member.

In confirming the suspension, KDM Secretary General Dr. Gaim James LunKapis said Tommy’s position as party coordinator at the divisional level was also automatically affected.

“Yes, it is true; the decision was made in a meeting of the KDM leadership recently, which decided that his membership (Tommy) would be suspended.

“As such, all his positions in the party, including vice president and coordinator at the division level, were also suspended.

“However, he can still appeal to the party in respect of his suspension,” Dr. Gaim James said in a statement today.

However, the reasons for Martin’s suspension were not stated. Martin has joined KDM since its establishment last year.

In addition to being the vice president, Tommy is the party’s coordinator in the Pensiangan Parliamentary constituency and the Sook state constituency, respectively.
